GREY __________________________

I just came across these pictures from an absolutely amazing home, called Penthouse V.
It's based on the roof structure of a 1930's cinema, and is a holiday home for a family of seven in Pörtschach, Austria.
I surely wouldn't mind having a holiday home like this!

If you want to read more about it go Destilat. Found via.

_____________ soft skin

Im now in some kind of refractive phase with my style, and its good timing cause we are building a new house. But its also a bit challenging because I dont really know how it's gonna be, but the best way always is testing the ideas or colours on a bigger wall. So I did.
I like to paint both ceilings and walls with the same colour, it becomes more intense and interesting that way. But now I just wanted to test the colour before painting an entire room with it in the new house. I really liked this colour, its not too pink and not too beige. The color is called Soft skin and it comes from Jotun Colour.

MY LONDON _____________

It’s starting to become a yearly tradition for me to go to London during springtime. And this time I discovered a few lovely spots.
I always choose the hotel carefully when I travel, since a nice place to stay matters when it comes to the total impression of the trip.
That’s why I chose La Suite West Hotel, which is located in the centre of London (at 41-51 Inverness Terrace). It definitely lived up to my expectations! It’s a calm and clean hotel with a minimalistic approach. The food was amazing, and the breakfast generous. The room I stayed in was well planned, with the most amazing bathroom all covered in marble…!

A few shops I would recommend, if you’re interested in interior design, is of course Selfridges. They have a Nordic department, with a great supply of established as well as upcoming designers.
Another store I really liked is Dark Room. The have a selection of graphic products, but they also sell others design that matches their graphic concept.

If you like chocolate, which I definitely do, you must pay a visit at Mast Brothers, London’s chocolate makers. It is a simply beautiful store, and you can watch the (delicious!) chocolate being made behind glass. The chocolate truffles are delicately cut in straight lines, which you all know I’m crazy about…

Also, Aesop is always lovely to visit. You recognize their concept even if their stores look creative. These pictures are taken from the store at Russel Square.
The store Monologue opened relatively recently. I think it’s a fresh addition to the interior stores in London, with a mixed style of Tom Dixon and Hay.
Another tip is the Victoria & Albert museum, which is the world’s greatest museum of art and design. At the moment they are presenting an exhibition about Alexander McQueen, which I’ve heard is really good, but unfortunately I missed it since you need to book tickets a few months ahead.
Finally, the best way to explore London, I think, is to pick a few areas and walk around at an easy pace, and of course, take time to drink many cups of coffee in beautiful surroundings.

SHADOW BLUE __________ that something

I said it before and I will say it again. Sometimes you only need to do some small changes to add something new to your home.
I had wanted for a long time to paint our living room with a darker color but since we move this summer there was no point to start now. But instead, I tested a dark color on our square wooden pot and the shelves and suddenly I've got it. Something new.

Colour from my favorite, Jotun Lady Pure Color ( skuggblå) color code. 4629 /S5005-R80B

NEW ___________ pink stairs

Lägg till bildtext

Sometime design just happens!
This photo was taken a cold winter day during a casual walk in Stockholm and I just stumbled upon this staircase. I fell completely in love with its simplistic lines and the pale color.

The photograph is printed now with the highest Dmax (gamut) on a carefully selected paper made of 100% cotton, to get the precise smooth surface and colors I was looking for.
Each architectural print is now signed and available in the shop as a limited edition, hope you'll like it as much as I do! To the shop here annaleena.se

MY WORK ____________ la petite mag + diy

Finally is the latest issue of la petite magazine out in stores! It is their third issue in print, and I'm so happy that I've been honored to make an interior article for them again.
To this issue I styled a petit room for babies in calm and sober colors.
As a DIY I made a storage of plywood to hang on the wall, with small cases to put necessary every day items in. You can read the whole DIY in the latest issue of la petite magazine by ordering your copy here.

MODERNA BAD ________________________________________

Todays blog post is a sneak peek from my cooperation with the Moderna bad, a company specializing in renovating bathrooms. Together we've developed and updated their profile, by doing a makeover in their showroom as well as creating a new logotype. You can also see my clothing rail rectangle in the showroom, which I've attached to the ceiling by using a black chain this time.

I'll let you know more about this project in short!
