MY WORK ____________ la petite mag + diy

Finally is the latest issue of la petite magazine out in stores! It is their third issue in print, and I'm so happy that I've been honored to make an interior article for them again.
To this issue I styled a petit room for babies in calm and sober colors.
As a DIY I made a storage of plywood to hang on the wall, with small cases to put necessary every day items in. You can read the whole DIY in the latest issue of la petite magazine by ordering your copy here.

MODERNA BAD ________________________________________

Todays blog post is a sneak peek from my cooperation with the Moderna bad, a company specializing in renovating bathrooms. Together we've developed and updated their profile, by doing a makeover in their showroom as well as creating a new logotype. You can also see my clothing rail rectangle in the showroom, which I've attached to the ceiling by using a black chain this time.

I'll let you know more about this project in short!

NEW WORK_______________________ stenhuggardottern

I've been loving these candleholders by Stenhuggardottern for quite a while, so to start off the new year with a photoshoot of them is just perfect. I'm a fan of the design: the shapes as well as the use of material - limestone from Öland and marble from Carrara.

Thank you Friday for bringing out some sunshine. Its fascinating what a few beams can do with us people! Happy weekend to you all!

THANK YOU 2014 ____________________ AND MERRY X-MAS!

Every year at the end of the year I usually sump up the year and make plans to the next.
2014 has been an exciting year! Some of my highlights from it are the collaborations with Blooc, Habitat, Scandic and Opus Clothing.  And of course my move to Stockholm.

I'm so happy about the opportunity I've had to get in touch with so many brilliant people during the year, and the creativity that has come out of it. I'm also really thankful to all you bloggers and customers that appreciate and encourage my styling and design! Makes me so happy, always.

We (my assistant Emmie and I ;)) are excited about what next year has in store: collaborations with new and old friends, fresh new design and a lot of creativity!

But before 2015 starts, let's enjoy this Christmas, have some time off and love on the ones we are lucky to have in our lives.

Happy holidays to you all!
And I'll see you in January..

RESIDENCE ______ shades of pastel

The latest issue of Residence is now out in stores, where my inspiration work is featured. The aim was to capture the light and calm shades of pastel, which I find contrast beautifully to the dark fall weather we're facing these days. My absolute favorite products in the picture are the candlesticks by Stenhuggardottern.

one pic_______________ structure

This picture is from todays photoshoot in a bathroom, taken only a few hours ago.
I've loved marble for a long time, so much I was sure I would get tired of it.
But I haven't. Its distinct structure still amaze me. To me, it feels vivid, almost as if the material is living its own life!

I I T T A L A __________ annaleena + kuukuna

When I was asked to show Iitalas new lamp kuukuna at my blog, I didn't hesitate. Partly because I grew up with Finnish design and the strong clean expression that Iitala represents, but also because Kuukuna lamp is as if created especially for my home and my style. I love the round organic form and the fact that it is handmade by a glass-blower, which gives it high quality as well as a simple and timeless design. I fell for its pleasant design, but especially its light. Kuukuna lamp glows with a unique warm shade when you turn it on.
Kuukuna was originally designed in 1986 by the master craftsman Oiva Toikka and made by expert glass blowers in Iittala’s atmospheric Finnish workshops.  And now Iittala has dug into its archives and decided to resurrect this mouth-blown glass light. Im very happy for that.

OPUS ______________

Earlier this year I was working as set designer for the German clothing brand Opus and for their fall/winter 14 collection. The Opus catalouge and the fashion newsletter was produced by the amazingly talented studio Strada and it was photographed in Stockholm. In the catalogue they included also a few extra pages about me and one of my DIY's, which was fun. I find it interesting to combine interior with fashion, and I would love to participate in more collaborations of that kind in the future.
